Personal painting inspired by the Slavic mythology. Vesna is a goddess of spring and rebirth.
Here is an idea I have been trying to summarize mainly for myself:
Our conscious perception is limited to only a fraction of the reality we live in. Any activity, we engage in, can lead us to notice more from our environment and also our inner world. It can lead us to become more sensitive, so we can appreciate things that have become mundane, barely noticeable. We may notice completely new things. It is this sensitivity that allows us to capture the extraordinary.
Even though I believe the artistic pursuit should be undertaken mainly to bring clarity to ourselves, it is a gift to ourselves that we can offer to other people as well. There is an amazing depth in what we can explore and what we are able to share through any kind of art. We reveal our interests, goals, emotions. It takes courage to expose ourselves, it can be vulnerable, but it can also influence others to become more sensitive. We can bring others to see “through our eyes”, to feel as we have felt.
